Books I Have Read Numerous Times
Any book can be read once. Not all books are worth reading twice.
The books that are voluntarily read numerous times are the ones worth sharing with others. And this is the purpose of this post.
I am sure this is not all of the books that I have read numerous times but this is a rough idea as I browse my library. Not every work is read in full both times. Some have various chapters I come back to over and over again.
There is no order of priority here. Rather, you can picture me compiling this list as I carry around my laptop looking at the books on my shelves. As I come across those I’ve read at least twice I put them down. There are also numerous books in my office that I am not able to see as I write. For those, maybe I’ll edit this blog in the future to add to the list.
Once again, this does not mean that I agree with every statement in each book. Like all books, even the best ones, we must read them with reflection. Ultimately, all books should be read through the lens of The Book. For me, I often come back to works that challenge me. This is what makes reading enjoyable.
The following list does not include many of my favorite commentaries, devotional books, creeds & confessions, nor the Bible—I hope these will always be a regular in my life.
Also, it is worth noting that this compilation of books is by no means from the recent past. This goes back 13 years when I first really began to read many Christian books.
