Why Should We Be Creedal & Confessional?
David Strain at the Gospel Reformation Network National Conference in 2021
We need an anchor in today’s world. We need a solid foundation in today’s evangelical culture. Thankfully, we have several people who are promoting the need to get back to being “creedal”1 and “confessional”.2
This is where David Strain, Senior Minister at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Mississippi, is very helpful for us today. In 2021 at the GRN National Conference, Dr. Strain gave an amazing presentation about what it means to be “confessional” and why it is most relevant for today. This is well worth listening to in whole but you might want to also consider listening to it in parts and reflecting on it.
